I use an ice hockey goalie chest and arm pad, I also play ice hockey and ringette as a goalie so I’m use to and feel awkward when I don’t wear it. I’m so scared of injuring myself and missing part of my season since sports are everything to me. I wear an ice hockey chest and arm pad, neck guard, goalie hockey pants, knee pads and a goalie jill.

I have moved to just using skate boarding elbow pads for elbow protection. i find these give protection against getting burnt from the turf when diving, and dont restrict any movement. since using them for nearly 5 years now i have only been court once by the ball . im also thinking of padding down with shorts as well, at the moment i wear the obo kiddies shorts as these have been the lightest and easiest to move in i have found, but im intrested to hear peoples ideas on shorts.

ice hockey shorts all the way! hockey shorts cost way too much!
obo elbow guards with a short-sleeved athletic shirt for me anyday! but the stupid new rules don’t let anyone do that anymore…but club umps in Canada don’t even know cause a lot of people do it. even in international matches!

Please Note: We are not big on rules around OBO, in fact we have broken a few in our time. But please; keep it positive never negative, keep it helpful never personal and always show respect. Cheers Simon B
